Introducing Microsoft Dynamics 365: Business Central

Microsoft has announced an official name and launch date for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has been developed under the code name “Dynamics 365 Tenerife” for the last year. “Dynamics 365 Tenerife” is effectively Dynamics NAV functionality delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS).

Dynamics 365 Business Central is positioned to provide businesses a single, end to end solution for managing finances, operations, sales and customer service. With the code base almost identical to Dynamics NAV 2018; Business Central boasts the same enviable integration with Office 365, Dynamics for Sales, Cognitive Services (for image recognition of inventory items, contacts, etc.), Power BI and Flow.

If earlier roadmaps prove true, it could also herald a name change for NAV as well to Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premise. With over 160,000 companies and millions of users enjoying NAV (Navision!) worldwide, we expect the name change to be a slow adoption compared to the rapid uptake of the applications.

Launch date for Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS) in the UK is April 2nd and early pricing shows starting price from $70 per user per month (US only pricelist at date of this blog).

Following up from our popular Inside NAV 2018 Workshop, we will hold previews of Dynamics 365 Business Central in the coming months. Contact us now to register interest or to discuss your project today.
